Mooie Noten live at Abbey Road Institute

PRODUCTION, MARKETING, CREATIVE DIRECTION

Mooie Noten is a pop song competition where musicians go head to head, from preliminary rounds through to semi-finals, staged across four different venues. As part of my role at GRAP, I led the project from the ground up, coordinating everything from scheduling to making sure every musician's technical rider reached the right venue technicians on time.

Alongside that, I produced three live recording sessions for the finalists. I put together the video crew myself and led introductory conversations between the crew and each finalist beforehand, so the sessions could capture something closer to who each musician actually was, rather than a generic performance. On the shoot day itself, I directed a team of around fifteen professionals as creative director, staying close to the details that shaped the final footage: light, framing, and the overall feeling of each recording.

The marketing side ran in parallel. I directed the graphic designers behind the competition's visual identity and oversaw the rollout of content around it, making sure the campaign carried the same energy the recordings were built to capture.
